We're looking for a

BNG Sales Executive.

Great Yellow is seeking a BNG (Biodiversity Net Gain) Sales Executive to lead the sales of BNG units from our nature restoration projects. This is a high-impact commercial role within our Capital team, initially focused on the UK but with a mandate to expand globally as markets evolve.

The ideal candidate will have significant sales experience, a proven ability to close complex, high-value deals, and a strong personal network within the UK finance, development and investment communities. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting buyers of BNG units, helping to scale investment into biodiversity and ecosystem restoration.

This role will report to our Head of Capital Raising and will work closely with our Capital, Trading, and Services teams to ensure that BNG units meet market demand and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

BNG Unit Sales & Market Development

  • Lead the sales of BNG units from Great Yellow’s UK-based nature restoration projects.

  • Develop and execute a go-to-market sales strategy to secure large-scale BNG buyers, including corporates, developers, financial institutions, and sustainability-driven entities.

  • Build a qualified pipeline of prospects and manage deal progression from lead generation through to close, in conjunction with the Services team leads.

  • Deliver on sales targets while maintaining integrity, transparency, and alignment with ecological goals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Leverage your existing network to build trusted relationships with BNG buyers.

  • Educate potential buyers on the value of Great Yellow’s BNG units and our commitment to high-quality, long-term impact.

  • Develop long-term partnerships that go beyond one-off transactions, including framework agreements and portfolio deals.

  • Develop secondary trading of BNG units in the UK

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with the wider Great Yellow team to develop and implement an internal standard for BNG supply, pricing benchmarking and inventory tracking for BNG units.

  • Work with the Services and Trading teams, as well as valuation analysts to ensure units are structured and priced in line with market expectations.

  • Provide market feedback to the Services, NAC and Capital teams to inform nature restoration project design, units packaging, supply integrity and verification processes.

  • Help shape the overall biodiversity credit sales strategy for nature credits as Great Yellow expands.

Market Intelligence & Expansion

  • Stay informed and communicate internally on UK biodiversity policy, planning law, standards, and regulatory frameworks surrounding BNG.

  • Identify opportunities for international expansion of BNG into global biodiversity markets.

  • Represent Great Yellow at industry events, investor forums, and policy roundtables.

About You

  • 6–10 years of experience in B2B sales, capital markets, or sustainable finance, with a strong track record of nurturing relationships and closing deals

  • 1+ years of BNG units sales experience

  • Pre-existing relationships with buyers of BNG units

  • Deep understanding of the UK’s Biodiversity Net Gain policy landscape and the growing biodiversity credit market

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills

  • Commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset, with a passion for nature restoration and impact

  • Ability to understand complex landscape scale nature restoration projects and the role off-site BNG plays in financing and delivery

  • Ability to operate autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture
