Great Yellow is connecting nature and finance, allowing nature restoration projects to run effectively with long-term capital support.

The world is experiencing rapid environmental degradation as a result of an extractive economic model, making businesses vulnerable as nature declines.

A shift to regenerative practices is imperative to break this cycle.

We’re building a new generation of tools to make complex environmental programme data simple, clear, and actionable, to help organisations accelerate nature recovery across the UK.

To do this, we’re looking for a Product Designer to join our small and ambitious product team. You’ll be our first in-house designer, working closely with the Product Lead and Engineers.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys shaping ideas from discovery through to delivery. You’ll move quickly from concept to prototype, identifying user needs, and bringing clarity to complex problems.

You’ll join an early-stage team that’s collaborative and open, where you’ll have real influence on how our products look, feel, and evolve.

What you’ll do

• Design intuitive, data-driven experiences. Turn complex information and processes into clear, simple and usable interfaces.

• Own UX and UI across the platform. Shape journeys and flows, and design polished visual interfaces.

• Prototype fast. Use design and low-code prototyping tools to bring ideas to life and validate them with real users.

• Lead lightweight research and testing. Gather insights from interviews and feedback to refine and improve designs.

• Build and evolve our design system. Create shared components and patterns based on industry best practice.

• Collaborate across Product and Engineering. Work hands-on with a small, collaborative team to shape and communicate new ideas from concept to launch.

About you

• Experience: previous experience designing digital products, including at least one role where you led or owned the design process - Bonus points if you have experience working in a start up environment

• Design craft: Strong across UX and UI, with a portfolio that shows end-to-end product thinking.

• Tools: Confident using design and rapid prototyping tools to test and iterate fast - Bonus points if you have previously used Figma

• Mindset: Thrives in early-stage environments where priorities shift and speed matters.

• Data fluency: Comfortable designing clear, human-centred interfaces for complex, data-heavy workflows.

Beneficial Skills

• You care deeply about nature, climate, and the potential of technology to drive environmental change

• Experience in fintech, or sustainability-related platforms

• Experience designing data-heavy or decision-support tools
